Mark Beland has been an active Toastmaster for over a decade. Throughout this time, he competed in the International Toastmasters Speech Contest and clinched 1st Place in the 2023 District 48 International Toastmasters Speech Contest.

Alongside his Toastmasters journey, Mark has maintained consistent involvement in public speaking as a Community Liaison for Avow Hospice since 2016 and now for Baker Senior Center.

He is adept at sharing his experiences, offering insights into creating and delivering engaging, memorable speeches, catering to individuals at any level.

Mark Beland serves as the Community Liaison at Baker Senior Center in Naples, FL. His public speaking journey began when he joined the Naples Sunrise Bay Toastmasters Club in February 2014, sparking his passion for community engagement and leading him to his current role. In his capacity as a Community Liaison, Mark delivers impactful presentations about the cognitive and clinical services offered by the Baker Senior Center, as well as educational presentations on behalf of the Collier County Dementia Care & Cure Initiative..

Mark's professional background includes roles as a Marketing Representative at the Naples Daily News, Ogden Directories, and WGCU Public Media. Committed to community service, he actively participates in various committees. He serves as the Chair of the AARP Age Friendly Collier initiative, Co-Chair of the Collier County Veterans Expo Committee, Chair of the Education Committee for the Dementia Care & Cure Initiative, and Chair of the Immokalee Interagency Council.

Mark earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College in NJ. He resides in Estero, FL, with his wife and son, actively contributing to his community and advocating for important causes.
